These awesome young ladies are more than a beautiful face, sash and crown. They are entrepreneurs, leaders, mentors, scholars and advocates. They represent the essence of what a woman is, should be, and can be. Unfortunately, only one of these awesome young ladies will be awarded the title of Miss, Teen Miss, and Little Miss South Carolina Black International but they all already are Queens representing our communities, towns, county and state.

Marquita is a graduate of Clark Atlanta Univeristy with a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Computer Science. Marquita is a US Dept of Defense SMART Scholar 2007 Cohort and a Clark Atlanta University Provost Scholar. Her desire is to pursue a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts in Counseling to become a minister and Pastoral Counselor.
PLATFORM: Put F.A.M.I.L.Y. First: Framing A Monumental Impact in the Lives of our Youth.

Tiffanie is a volunteer dance instructor, volunteer track coach and former dancer for Janet Jackson's choreographer Joey Cooper. When you aboard US Airways you may hear her soothing voice because she is a flight attendant with US Airways. Tiffanie's goal is to obtain her private pilot's license.
Platform: Expanding Minds through Poetry Project (EMP Project)

Verhonda is a Sophomore at Gardner- Webb University where she is majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration. Her career goal is to become the Press Secretary of the White House or a presidential campaign manager.
Platform Issue: Suicide Awareness
Tiffany is pursuing a degree in Physical Education at South Carolina State University. She has a passion to empower young girls and teens so that they can better their self-esteem. She hopes by mentoring young girls and teens they will become successful, professional African American women.
Platform: “H.A.P.P.E.E.”, or Helping All People Positively Excel and Exceed.
Brettany attends Miller-Motte Technical College. Her goal is to become a registered nurse. Brettany also was President and treasurer of FGE, Vice president of FCCLA, 1st chair of marching band playing the clarinet, Caption of cheerleading squad, Who’s Who of America. She was on Dean’s list in school and a member of the National honors society.
Platform: Shaken Child Syndrome

Jocelyn Roper graduated high school from Charleston County School of the Arts and went on the graduate from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education. Her philosophy of life surrounds education which she believes is a key component for a successful future. She is a firm advocate and believer to "Shining the Light to Success!"
Platform: “Pioneers of the Future”

Ashley is a 8th grade honor student. Ashley plans to attend Spellman College to study Biology. Her goal is to be a pediatric cardiologist.
Platform: L.O.V.E--Love Overcomes Violence Everytime. Stop Teen Violence.

Carolyn is an 8th Grade honor student where she takes all challenge classes. She is a member of the orchestra and cheer squad. Carolyn’s goal is to attend an university abroad and major in medicine.
Platform: The Influence of Hollywood on Young People

Cearra is a graduate of Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, where she graduated a year early with a 4.0 GPA in her last year, and a cumulative 3.7 GPA for her high school career. She is a freshman at the University of South Carolina. Her major is Broadcast Journalism. Her career goal is to become a successful and nationally syndicated broadcast journalist in a major city.
Platform: Stop the Silence. Stop the Suffering, Bringing an End to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.

Haley Symone Riley is a high school freshman. Her goal is to major in political science with a minor in law.
Platform: Preventing Juvenile Delinquency

Taylor is a 11th grade honor student and President of the Student Government Association. She plans to attend Clemson University to obtain a degree in Biochemistry; Plan to attend medical school to become an OB/GYN doctor.
Platform: The Prevention of Elderly Neglect and Abuse.
Katelyn is 4 years old. She likes playing soccer, watching basketball and football. She is a ballerina and tap dancer.
Person Most Admire: God because I love Him and He loves me! He provides all of my needs and blesses me with wants too.

Jordan is seven years old and is an “A” honor roll student. Her interest are singing, dancing, playing the piano, and doing gymnastics. She is very creative. One of Jordan’s goals is to be a fashion designer when she grows up.
Jordan stated “one day she will be on television for her fashion, singing and playing the piano.”
Ciaran is 6 years old. She likes to read and her favorite books are Junie B. Jones books. She loves pageants and like making new friends. Her favorite things to do are to color and help mommy cook.
Person Most Admire: My grandmother Nancy Goff. She is a preacher and she loves everyone and teaches them about Jesus.
